Offense- A. Florida State's offense only had 332 total yards. But they dominated the time of possession of the game with 36:02. Florida State had no turnovers for the entire game. Christian Ponder only had 5 passes that weren't completed and had one TD running with one TD pass. Bert Reed was tackled by a shoe string tackle or he would have been in the end zone on a pass. Preston Parker led all receivers with 67 yards and a TD reception. The offensive line did a good job of blocking and allowing FSU to rush for a 4.1 yard per rush average. One of the Seminoles most impressive stat was the third down efficiency 7 for 13 attempts.
Defense- A. Florida State's defense had their most impressive performance against an FBS opponent. They held Maryland to only 252 total yards. They forced a season high four turnovers (2 fumbles, 2 interceptions). Derek Nicholson scored a TD on one of those turnovers returning a fumble for 22 yards. Florida State's defensive line led by Everette Brown had great pressure on the QB all night. Kenny Ingram and Toddrick Verdell both had interceptions for the Noles. Florida State also did a good job on third down conversions holding the Terrapins to 5 of 13 attempts.
Special Teams- A. Florida State's Graham Gano continued his excellent kicking season converting 3 FG's including a 48 yarder. The coverage teams did an adequate job.
