On Monday night NoleDigest held a pre-Signing Day chat with 3 special guests. NoleDigest had the pleasure of hosting 3 of Florida State's top commitments Monday night in a chat. Jacobbi McDaniel, C.J. Mizell and JaJuan Harley each answered questions regarding their recruitment, and among other things their futures as Seminoles.

On Monday night NoleDigest held a pre-Signing Day chat with 3 special guests. The following is a run down of what the special guests had to say with regards to Florida State and their future.

NoleDigest had the pleasure of hosting 3 of Florida State's top commitments Monday night in a chat. Jacobbi McDaniel, C.J. Mizell and JaJuan Harley each answered questions regarding their recruitment, and among other things their futures as Seminoles.




Jacobbi McDaniel:

-Talked about how he's been working hard trying to get Gary Brown and Andre Debose to become Seminoles. He said he and Gary are close, and that Gary has been somewhat receptive to what he had to say.

-When asked about his goal for next year, he said that he wanted to come in and work hard, and that he wants to be a leader from day 1.

-He said what makes him stand out the most is that, while isn't tall; he knows how to use his leverage. He also said that people underestimate his speed and technique, and that he always keeps coming. He knows how to use different moves and knows how to set them up. He felt that the UnderArmour game helped prove his worth compared to other defensive linemen.

-Said he is close with Demonte McAllister and Dustin Hopkins, who he has nicknamed D-Hop. He told us that he's planning on rooming with McAllister in the fall. He also said he is close with Willie Downs and that he felt Willie will make it in.

-Jacobbi said that while playing basketball he has lost about 10 pounds as he's down to 275. He said once the season is over he'll add more weight.

-Jacobbi talked about baseball, and the role it could play in his future. He said if he was drafted in the first round he'd consider going that route. He did reiterate that football is first, though, and that if it's okay with the coaches he'd like to play baseball at FSU if there's time.

-When asked about Chris Thompson he said fans can expect an electric playmaker that will bring speed and big-plays to the team. He said that he doesn't think Chris has reached his full potential yet.

-Said the most impressive recruit he's seen has been Greg Reid, and that he is important to FSU's class. He said Greg was the best player he saw at the All-American game due to his tenacity and refusal to lose to his guy.

-He said he is honored being considered as the "crown jewel" of the class. He said he's coming into FSU with the mindset that he wants to prove the accolades are deserved.

-When asked about Tim Tebow, he said when he heard he was coming back on TV he immediately began doing push-ups. He said he cannot wait to get a shot to go up against him.

-He watched Darnell Dockett very closely in the Super Bowl and hopes to achieve what he did at FSU. He said watching him got him so hyped that he was ready to come to Tallahassee and throw on the pads right to practice.




C.J. Mizell:

-Said his visit over the weekend went really well, and that he had a good time getting a chance to speak to the coaches and hang around the university.

-Said the coaches haven't designated him a position and that he could possibly play all 3 positions on the next level.

-When asked about his season, he said he could've done better, but that he feels that he is the best in the nation. He said some of these other players play against weak competition whereas the high school in Florida and Georgia is some of the best in the nation. He said the teams he played against in Georgia were tougher.

-Loved playing for former Noles Bill Ragans and Casey Weldon. He said he owes them a lot and that he learned a lot from them over the season.

-Doesn't have a preference on a major yet.

-When asked about how wrestling was going he said that he was undefeated, but that he hasn't been wrestling too much. Districts are this weekend but he has to take his test. He said he'll probably have to skip it.

-He doesn't compare himself to other players, but says others have said he is reminiscent of Ray Lewis.

-He told us that his grades are going "well", and that he's passing all of his classes.

-He said the reason he chose FSU was because of the coaches at FSU. He felt that he'll be a better player and person going there.

-When he was asked about his expectations for next year, he said he just wants a chance to come in and compete.

-He wanted to thank everyone for supporting him, and that he cannot wait to sign on Wednesday.




JaJuan Harley:

-Reaffirmed that he's coming to play safety. He said the coaches told him he'd play corner in a pinch, but they want him to focus on free safety from the start.

-He said he liked corner more because he gets a chance to fight the receiver more, but that at safety getting the chance to cover and hit is cool, too.

-Likes to think he covers like Antonio Cromartie and can hit like Ernie Sims.

-Said he has a good relationship with Corey Fuller, and that in April he plan on starting to train with him. He said they've talked a lot about FSU and Harley's future.

-Said there's no ill effects from the concussions, and that everything is in the clear.

-When asked about recruiting his said that he is close with the Tallahassee area players and Lonnie Pryor. He said he's been working hard on Gary Brown, too.

-He said he'd love to play behind a d-line of McAllister, McDaniel, Brown and Brandon Jenkins and said that interceptions will come with a lot of ease with the pressure they'd create.

-Said he was recently timed in the 4.29 range in the 40 on a hand-held timer. He said he is a legit 4.3 guy now and that he's trying to get faster before going to college.

-On his official visit he was measured by FSU at 6'2" and 205 pounds.

-Loved his visit, especially getting a chance to hang out with the players. Said that was the best part of it.

-He talked about wanting bring the swagger back to FSU. He said he'd like to bring some "primetime" and entertainment back to the secondary at FSU.

-He has set a goal to score 10 touchdowns while at FSU on defense, special teams and possibly lining up at wide out on offense.

-Harley mentioned that he would maybe like to run track at FSU, particularly the 100, 200 and the long jump.

-He said he's going to work hard these next few days with recruits, and that he's coming in ready to bring FSU back to where they used to be.

-Said he expects to play a lot in the fall.
