Monday afternoon, word came out that the NCAA denied Corey Surrency his request for another year of eligibility.
"I want to come back," Surrency said. "But I don't want to comment on it right now."
Surrency caught 12 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns during the 2008 season.
Florida State has now lost Greg Carr, Preston Parker and Surrency for one reason or another and will be forced even more to rely on youth in the 2009 season.
Senior wide receiver Rod Owens was also suspended indefinitely after being arrested for a DUI Sunday morning.
Florida State will continue to fight and plans to appeal the decision.
