ND Post Spring Recruiting Board: Quarterback

Over the past few weeks NoleDigest has been looking at the Post-Spring Recruiting board for Florida State. After scouring the country checking out recruits, the coaches at FSU have seen their board change as interest has grown in some, while others have either committed or slipped down the list. In this installment we look at the quarterbacks on FSU's board.

Florida State is looking to sign one quarterback this year. While it is not a big year for talented signal callers there are several who the coaches at FSU are recruiting.

1) Jeffrey Godfrey: Florida State is one of two schools that have offered the Miami-Central standout as a quarterback therefore they are one of Godfrey's top schools. The coaches at FSU have Jeffrey number 1 because they like his mobility, leadership skills, and the fact he can make all the throws.

2) Anthony Gonzalez: FSU fans don't know too much about this standout Pennsylvania quarterback. Recently he said FSU is high up on his list. Gonzalez is a good athlete that could possibly play safety in college, but Coach Fisher likes the things Anthony could bring to the offense.

These are the only 2 who haven't committed that have been offered by the Seminoles. With Jake Heaps committed to BYU, Nick Montana committed to Washington and Case McCoy committed to Texas the rest of the board is wide open. These are the quarterbacks the coaches will keep an eye on over the next few months:

1) Turner Baty: The St. Thomas Aquinas standout is primed for a good senior year due to the talent around him. There are a ton of schools watching him this year.

2) David Olson: The Columbia-Irmo standout has schools like FSU, Tennessee, North Carolina, Wake Forest and a host of others looking at him.

3) Brandon Doughty: Brandon is under the radar but he is better than people think. He is a prospect that could potentially earn an offer with a big senior season.
