GA Tight End Blown Away By FSU Visit

Georgia tight end Tank Sessions has been looking at Florida State for a while now. On Saturday Sessions was in town for Seminole Showtime, which was Tank's first in-depth visit to FSU. NoleDigest caught up with the two-way standout to talk about the visit, and to see what impact the visit had on his recruitment.

Tank Sessions was one of the over one hundred recruits in town for Florida State's 3rd annual Seminole Showtime. The Georgia standout plays both ways for Decatur-Columbia High but he worked out at primarily tight end at Seminole Showtime. While there weren't many tight ends in attendance Sessions separated himself from the group as the best one there.

He told NoleDigest that this was the first time he got a real good look at the Seminoles, and he said he liked what he saw during yesterday's event.

"I had a really good time yesterday at the camp," Sessions said, "especially for it being my first real visit there. I had been there a few years ago with my former teammate Toby Jackson, but this time I got a chance to feel it. FSU has been recruiting me at both tight end and defensive end but I worked at tight end at the camp."

The coaches kept the recruits busy throughout the day doing tours of the facilities, watching highlight reels and meeting with the coaches. Tank said that he was blown away by everything he saw.

"I'd say one of the things that stood out were the facilities and the environment around there," said Sessions of FSU. "They gave us a tour of everything and it was great. We got a chance to talk to the coaches, and my parents got a chance to ask some things. They liked a lot and they said it was the best visit we've had so far."

Having the former Seminole greats and current and former NFL players in attendance to coach is often one of the things that stand out to recruits when it comes to Showtime, and in Tank's case there is nothing different. Between working with the current coaching staff and the former greats Session admitted that FSU has moved ahead of the pack.

"Coach Coley and I hit it off really well and I think he is a great coach and someone I'd love to play for," explained Sessions of the camp experience. "All of the coaches there were showing me love and they said I was the best one they've seen yet in terms of tight ends. Working with the NFL players was great, too. I'm being real with you…..I am thinking about closing the deal here really hard."

Before making a commitment Tank plans on heading out to Oklahoma for a visit next week. He told NoleDigest that after that a decision should come shortly after.

"I'm going to go out to Oklahoma next week to see how that is and after that I will make my decision," said Sessions. "I'm still looking at Auburn and Ole Miss but FSU and Oklahoma are the ones sticking out to me. The visit to FSU moved them ahead and we will see what happens after the Oklahoma visit."

Stay tuned to NoleDigest for further updates with Tank, as well as the rest of the recruits that attended Seminole Showtime this weekend.
