Is Terrell Returning to FSU this Weekend?

Nigel Terrell was in town for Seminole Showtime on the 18th, and this past weekend he was in Mississippi visiting Ole Miss. NoleDigest caught up with the Alabama linebacker to talk about those visits and to see Florida State remains in his top 2.

A few weeks ago Nigel Terrell from Pelham, AL made it known that his top 2 schools were Florida State and Ole Miss. Soon after his announcement he was in Tallahassee to visit the Seminoles for their Showtime camp.

"Seminole Showtime was a lot of fun and it was cool working with the former players and NFL guys there," said the 3-star linebacker. "I learned a lot of things that'll make me a better player. It was a good experience for me."

Terrell had been to FSU before for a visit but that was for a track meet. This visit was much more geared towards the football side of FSU, and Nigel told NoleDigest he came away impressed with what he saw.

"I've been there before but it was more than I expected," said the 6'3" 215 pound linebacker. "The campus was nice, the facilities are nice and I thought I did well. The coaches were showing me a lot of attention and they were telling me to make my decision on my own timeframe. I liked how there was no pressure from the coaches."

Nigel enjoyed the Ole Miss camp as well as he also got a chance to play some offense as he lined up at wide receiver. Now that both camps are over is his top 2 the same?

"The Ole Miss camp was a lot of fun, too," said Terrell. "FSU and Ole Miss are still my top schools at the moment. Other schools like Kentucky, West Virginia and Arkansas could get in there."

Something that could be beneficial for Terrell is that he is making another trip to Tallahassee this weekend so his mother can see what FSU has to offer. Does the fact he's making a 2nd trip in 3 weeks mean a commitment is near?

"When I got home from FSU my mom was asking me how the camp was," explained Terrell. "She came with me this past weekend to see Ole Miss, and this weekend we're heading back to Tallahassee for a visit. I want to get her opinion on them. I want to see if she'll enjoy the campus and coaches like me. Committing is a possibility but I am not too sure yet."

Look for a decision to come by the 4th game of the season at the latest.

"I want to have my decision done before my season starts or at least by the 4th game so I can turn all of my attention to my senior season."

Stay tuned to NoleDigest for an update from Nigel this weekend after his visit.
