Sessions: "I Just had to Follow My Heart"

Florida State has been as hot as any team in the nation over the past few weeks recruiting wise. Since Seminole Showtime 5 recruits have pledged for the ‘Noles. Wednesday Decatur, GA athlete Tank Sessions made himself the 11th commitment for the 2010 recruiting class.

Tank Sessions has publically said since Seminole Showtime 2 weeks ago that Florida State had pushed them to the lead after an impressive visit on July 18th. Earlier this week he still maintained that FSU was ahead, yet a visit to Oklahoma was on the horizon. Wednesday he decided to wrap up his recruitment when he pledged to FSU. He told NoleDigest that he knew after the visit where he wanted to go.

"I just had to go ahead and commit today because I've known since the camp where I wanted to go," said the 3-star tight end. "When I went to their camp I was blown away by the atmosphere and the coaches. I told Coach Carter when I committed to him that I liked it and that I was going to do it then (at the camp), but I wanted to make sure."

While Sessions is more than capable to be a standout defensive end in college Sessions will be coming in as a tight end. Getting at least one in this class was of high importance for the ‘Noles. The chance to play for Coach Coley and to play early helped FSU's cause.

"The chance I have to play early there was another big factor for FSU," said Sessions on his commitment. "I know they need guys like me so I am happy. I worked with Coach Coley at Showtime and I liked him a lot. He has a lot of energy and I feel I will learn a lot and become a better player with him coaching me."

In the end Tank says that he just followed his heart.

"Everything about FSU made them the choice for me," said Sessions. "I loved it there and my family loved it there so I just had to follow my heart. I am real solid in my decision and I can't wait to get there next fall."
