Do the Noles still lead?
"I've had a great time, this has been my best trip by far," Lewis said. "I just feel so comfortable here, like this is where I belong. My mom even liked it a lot, more than I thought she would. She told me if Florida State is where I want to go, she's fine with that as long as I'm happy.
"Realistically, this is where I'm going to end up. Florida State is the best place for me. Lorenzo (Booker) was my host and we've had a great time together. I met all the players and coaches and my mom and I spent a lot of time talking with the faculty and meeting the teachers.
"There are just so many pluses here. I've always wanted to play for Florida State and that's becoming a reality. There's a good chance I could play early here and I know the program will turn things around and become the dominant school in the country again. When you talk to the players here, that's what they expect too. You come to Florida State to compete for National Championships and that's what this school will be doing in the next couple of years."
Lewis said he'll wait until Signing Day to announce his college choice and will not take any more trips. The only other school that he tripped to and is still considering is USC. Another positive for the Noles is they could also land a quarterback who we feel has more upside than signal caller in the country in JaMarcus Russell.
"Me, JaMarcus and Lorenzo hung out the whole trip," Lewis said. "JaMarcus is real cool, he's got that Alabama accent and all. He told me he's coming to FSU and it would be great to play with someone as talented as he is. I've heard great things about him and we clicked really well on this visit."
