Christian Green is Nearing a Decision

Tampa Catholic's Christian Green has stated for a while that he plans on making a decision some time this fall. With a visit to Florida State out of the way and visits to Florida and Georgia upcoming Green says his decision is nearing. NoleDigest caught up with Green to get his thoughts on his recruitment and to see when he expects to make his commitment.

Christian Green's recruitment has come down to 3 schools: Florida State, Florida and Georgia. Green has started taking visits as he was in Tallahassee for FSU's Labor Day game against Miami. He told NoleDigest that he came away from the game impressed with what he saw.

"The game was a lot of fun and both teams played the game at a high level," said the 5-star wide receiver. "I felt that Christian Ponder played very well and that he was prepared for the game. I was happy to see FSU come out in 4 and 5 wide sets. They really spread the ball around which was nice to see. Ponder definitely has command of the offense and he showed that by being able to spread the ball around."

Green was in town for the weekend as he spent several days in Tallahassee leading up to the visit. While he was in town he spent some time with Clint Trickett checking out what it was like being a student at FSU. He says between that and the atmosphere at the game it was a great visit.

"Clint took me out to a few cool places and we had some fun hanging out together when I was up there," explained Green. "It was a good time and I got a chance to see the college life there and what it's like being a student there. I have been in contact with Clint and we've talked before at some camps. We get along pretty well."

"The game itself was loud," continued Green. "I think that is definitely the loudest I have ever heard Doak. Seeing it live was fun for me."

With the FSU unofficial complete Green plans on being in Gainesville this weekend for the game against Tennessee. Christian says that Florida has been recruiting him hard and that they're doing a good job recruiting him.

"I'm going to the Florida/Tennessee game this weekend to see that game," said Green. "Florida is doing a good job recruiting me and they're coming at me pretty hard. The game should be pretty good this weekend."

About a month ago Green said he wanted to take an official visit to Georgia before a decision was made. He says he will be taking that visit on the 26th of this month, and that a decision should come soon after.

"I am taking my Georgia visit next weekend, on the 26th," said Green of official. "These 3 schools are even and it is a hard choice to make. I have seen something good in all 3 so it is going to come down to where the best fit is for me. After this official I will make my decision because I will have seen everything I needed to see. I feel that I have made an effort to see each program. It's going to be hard letting 2 schools down."

USC is a program that has been getting involved with Christian but he isn't sure if or when he will make a visit out there.

"If I do it'll be after my season," explained Green. "I want to see the tradition they have and I'd like to see L.A."
