JUCO TE Talks FSU Offer and Recruitment

Entering the 2010 recruiting cycle Florida State intended on landing two tight ends with this class. With Tank Sessions committed the coaches have been evaluating several targets across the country. On Monday Coach Coley offered jumbo athlete Brandon Mosley. NoleDigest caught up with the Coffeyville standout to talk about the offer and his recruitment.

Coffeyville Community College athlete Brandon Mosley can play offensive line, defensive end and tight end. His ability as a "jumbo athlete" is what is garnering interest from colleges all across the country. With an offer sheet growing daily Mosley says he is happy with the offers he's gotten and that schools want him at a variety of spots, but it is tight end he really wants to play when he graduates in December.

"I feel that I have a lot of offers and I am pretty happy about it," said Mosley. "Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, Arkansas, UAB, Tulsa and others have offered me, and I got a really good one when Florida State offered me Monday. Some schools want me as a defensive end while others want me at offensive line, but I want to play tight end because I feel that's where I project best and it is my favorite position."

Brandon says the offer from FSU is big for him in several ways; it is close to home and they provide him a chance to come in and contribute immediately.

"I'm excited about the FSU offer because it is close to home and I kind of want to get back after being away for so long (Mosley is originally from Jefferson, GA)," explained Mosley. "It's just a good offer for me. I've been in contact with Coach Coley a couple times and we've talked about how they need a guy like me at tight end."

"I've watched them some this year and I like how they use their ends," continued Mosley on why he likes FSU. "There is playing time available there. They lose (Caz) Piurowski, and they are moving one of the tight ends to fullback/H-back. It is important to me to get on the field immediately because I only have two years to play. I redshirted here last year."

With a December graduation planned Brandon says he is still focused on his team's season as the playoffs are right around the corner, but as soon as the season ends he plans on making his visits.

"I'm graduating in December so there is still plenty of time for me to take my visits," said Mosley. "We have playoffs Saturday so I am focused on that right now. After the season I plan on making my visits. I'm going to wait and see who else comes in and offers. FSU is definitely getting a visit and I have one scheduled to Arizona November 21st."
