A look back: Manuel's H.S. film

With redshirt freshman E.J. Manuel set to make his first career start this weekend, NoleDigest takes a look back at his performance on the field in high school that landed him and offer to play quarterback for Florida State. Manuel has only thrown four passes in Garnet and Gold but came in as the nations second ranked QB with a five-star rating.

According to E.J. Manuel's scout.com profile in high school he was evaluated as a quarterback, despite his athletic ability Manuel is a pocket passer who just happens to have the ability to evade the rush and make a play. When that happens he can tuck it and run and throw on the run. He can also stand tall in the pocket and pick you apart. Manuel will hang on to the ball, deliver an accurate pass and take the big hit. When he has time to set his feet he can throw with great velocity. He can make all the passes and throw with touch.

EJ Manuel was the second ranked quarterback coming out of high school.
