Reid leads 'Noles past No. 15 Jackets in OT

Sunday evening, Florida State opened ACC play against Georgia Tech with a huge road win. The Jackets came into the game ranked 15th nationally before the Seminoles went into Atlanta and handed Georgia Tech just their second loss of the season.

Ryan Reid scored 17 points while Solomon Alabi added 9 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Seminoles past No. 15 Georgia Tech Sunday night in overtime.

Derwin Kitchen hit a free throw with 27 seconds left giving the Seminoles a 63-59 lead. On Georgia Tech's ensuing possession, Reid drew a charge with 17.9 seconds left giving the Seminoles the ball.

Sophomore Luke Loucks then added a free throw and Jordan Demercy converted on a lob pass for the final bucket of the game giving Florida State the 66-59 victory.

With the win, Florida State improves to 10-2 and 1-0 in the ACC. It was the third win of the week for Florida State as the Seminoles defeated Georgia State and Auburn in the previous five days.

With the win and a perfect week, look for Florida State to possibly climb back into the polls when they are released Monday afternoon.

The Seminoles return home Monday night to host the University of Tennessee-Martin before taking a an eight day break for Christmas.
