's Take: Jeremy Deering

This past weekend Florida State hosted 4 recruits for official visits. One of the recruits in town was Tampa-Leto athlete Jeremy Deering. NoleDigest talks about his visit and the chances FSU has with signing the two-way standout.

With the final drive for the 2010 recruiting class approaching Florida State is targeting a group of players they hope will fill their class. One of those recruits is Tampa-Leto standout Jeremy Deering.

Deering is an all-around football player as he has the capability to play several positions on the next level as some schools are looking at him as an offensive threat, while others are looking at him as a big, play-making safety.

The Seminole coaching staff has turned up the heat on Deering over the past month as he is coming off a good senior campaign. The Seminoles like Jeremy because he can be a wide out or safety for them. While "athlete" is a term used to describe recruits who can't yet be classified to a certain position Deering is the epitome of that term.

What are FSU's chances?

While Deering hasn't done any updates on the visit the general word has been that the visit went extremely well. Jeremy has been very careful throughout the process as he hasn't wanted to put too much information out there.

Other recruits in town over the weekend talked about how Deering enjoyed his time and how he was strongly considering the Seminoles.

While that can't be proven at this time the coaches have made Deering a priority enough that new Head Coach Jimbo Fisher has taken over his recruitment. The coaches see a high ceiling for the Leto star and they are looking him most likely as a safety.

Deering will make an announcement on or soon after Signing Day. Until then look for him to visit Rutgers and South Carolina. Coming off of the visit FSU has just a good a chance as any to land Jeremy's signature.
