Visit Preview: Dent Ready for Official

Belle Glade standout Greg Dent will be in town this weekend making his official visit to Florida State. NoleDigest caught up with Dent to talk about the visit and to see what he's been up to since his season ended.

Greg Dent committed to Florida State back in November 2009. Since then he has seen his stellar senior season come to an end. Greg's been laying low until this past week when he participated in the Outback All-Star game.

"Everything's been going well," said Dent. "I've been playing basketball but I just participated in the Outback All-Star game on the 9th. It was good but cold. I didn't get any passes thrown to me in the game so that was disappointing, but it was a good experience."

Greg says FSU has stayed in constant contact with him since he committed and they've been down to see him recently to check out how he's doing in the classroom.

"Coach Dawsey came by to see me last week to check out my test scores and all," explained Dent. "Everything is good there. We didn't talk too much about anything else but grades. They just want to make sure I'm taking care of what I need to."

This weekend Dent will get his chance to talk more in-depth with the coaches at FSU as he is taking his official visit. Greg told NoleDigest that he doesn't necessarily have an agenda of things he wants to see, but he just wants to enjoy his time at FSU this weekend.

"Besides the academic side I am just really looking for what comes to mind," said Dent of the visit. "I've seen a lot there already so I want to sit with and see the academic side mostly."

Stay tuned to NoleDigest for a post visit update with Greg, as well as the rest of the recruits from the 2010 recruiting class.
