Johnson Solid and Ready for FSU Visit

Florida State is going to have a busy weekend as many committed and uncommitted players will be in town for official visits. One of those visitors will be wide receiver DeJoshua Johnson. NoleDigest caught up with Johnson to get the latest as he heads into the visit this weekend.

DeJoshua Johnson has been one of the strongest commitments for Florida State's 2010 recruiting class. He's been one who has contacted other recruits to spread the word of FSU's future.

This weekend he'll be in town making his first of 3 scheduled official visits. He's been to FSU several times and knows a lot about the program. This weekend he says he'll look at the visit from the point of view as a student.

"I want to get just another point of view of FSU this weekend," said the 4-star wide out. "I want to spend more time with the coaches and look at FSU like a typical student does."

Coach Coley and Coach Dawsey have stayed in touch with Johnson the most.

"I've talked to Coach Coley but the latest has been Coach Dawsey," said Johnson. "Coach Dawsey just tells me I need to be ready to compete when I get there so I can help the team."

Johnson has visits planned to both Alabama and Michigan coming up. He says no one should really read too much into those as his commitment is solid.

"I've always wanted to go to FSU," Johnson said, "and I feel like I have the best opportunity there. While they didn't have the best season the changes they made are for the better. With Alabama and Michigan I just want to see it and see how they do things there. I'm solid in my decision."
