Final Official Visitor Rundown

This weekend marks the final official visit weekend for 2010 recruits before National Signing Day on February 3rd. NoleDigest runs down to visitors in town this weekend and talks about their chances of them becoming Seminoles.

Florida State is hosting a small group of recruits this weekend as they make their final push before Signing Day this coming week. Here is a rundown of the players in town. FSU has a mix of commits and top targets in town this weekend, thus the coaches are looking to wrap up these final visits with a bang.

Christian Green

The rundown: Entering the 2010 recruiting cycle Green was one of the "locks" fans of FSU had pegged as a Seminole. While FSU has been near or at the top throughout Christian's recruitment Green has looked at several other schools, mainly Georgia and Florida. Over the past month there has been some talk that the Seminoles started to pull away from the pack, but Green and his camp remain constant in stating he is down to a final 2.

Impact of the visit: This visit is FSU's chance to show Green there is really no other place for him, and it will give the coaches their chance to dispel rumors about the direction of the program talked about by other programs. Green has been to FSU several times but this is his opportunity seeing FSU's new direction up close.

There are some who feel this visit will lock up Green for FSU.

Kenny Shaw

The rundown: FSU came onto the scene for Shaw last spring, and after a summer visit for Seminole Showtime made it almost impossible for any other school to beat the Seminoles. He committed publically at the UnderArmour game earlier this month, but there really has been no question where Shaw was heading.

Impact of the visit: This is Kenny's chance to enjoy FSU over a weekend, spend some time with the coaches and players, and overall just have an awesome weekend.

Tank Sessions

The rundown: Sessions capped off a run in July for FSU when he committed at the end of the month. FSU recruited Sessions early on but it was Seminole Showtime that proved Tank was a tight end worth taking in this class. After that Coach Coley made him a huge priority, and after that it took only a few weeks for Tank to pull the trigger. Since then Sessions has remained firm in his commitment.

Impact of the visit: Like all of the commitments that have visited this month this will be Tank's chance to enjoy FSU, spend time with the coaches and players, and just soak in the environment.

Vincent Sanders

The rundown: Vincent is an interesting prospect as he missed some of his senior year due to injury. The injury set him back but after he got healthy he came on like gang-busters to have a huge senior year. He is now considered to be one of the top players in Mississippi for 2010. FSU was his dream school as a kid and they have been in Sanders' top 3 since they offered.

Impact of the visit: At one time it looked like there as a legitimate chance Sanders would end up in FSU's class. Getting Sanders into town means that FSU is seriously considering him, but where does he fit? FSU is pretty loaded at wide out but Vincent is a prospect that can play with most on the next level.

Those close to Vincent's recruitment feel Ole Miss is the school to beat so FSU will have to go all out this weekend if they want to land the talented athlete.
