News and Notes: Final Weekend Visit Review

Florida State wrapped up their final official visits this past weekend as several recruits were in town. NoleDigest has the latest news and notes from the visitors.

Florida State hosted their final group of recruits this past weekend as the 2010 recruiting cycle has just about come to a close. The Seminoles had some of their top remaining targets in town as they try to put the finishing touches on what looks to be a good class.

Is Jones set to be a Seminole?

While Christian Jones hasn't talked to anyone since his visit word around FSU is that the visit went as expected, meaning that Jones will more than likely is a Seminole come Wednesday.

There are reports out of Gainesville that Jones is getting some pressure to become a ‘Nole, but throughout the process Christian's parents have remained open in letting Christian make the decision for himself. After the visit to FSU overall the weekend it is believed that Jones made the decision and that it'll become final on Signing Day.

Sanders thinking it over

Coming into the official visit Vincent Sanders grew up a Seminole fan but those close to his recruitment felt it would be tough for any school to get him out of Mississippi for college. Sanders finally made the visit this past weekend to FSU, coming away from the visit with more questions as to which college he'll sign with on Wednesday.

"It was a great visit and now I have to make a tough decision," said Sanders. "I got to see the entire school, which was nice. I like the coaches there and I think there is a chance to come in and play. The visit showed me everything I needed to see from FSU."

While it'll be tough to beat Ole Miss Sanders left Tallahassee more open to other options than when he came. FSU is looking to add as much talented players as possible to their roster, thus Sanders is a legitimate target on their board. It is not out of the realm of possibility to see a guy like Jarred Haggins and/or Greg Dent slide to defense, leaving a spot open on offense at wide receiver.

Sessions ready to become a Seminole

Tank Sessions hasn't been talked about much since he committed over the summer. Since then he has remained firm in his commitment. This past weekend he took his official to FSU, coming away pleased and ready to sign.

"Both parents and I had a great weekend," Sessions said, "and it was just a great visit. "My parents had some questions but they are comfortable with me going there."

While Sessions is a quiet kid during interviews he did a lot of pumping up FSU over the weekend as he was in the ear of the uncommitted targets that were in town for visits.

"Me, Jeff Luc and Kenny Shaw were talking to the guys a lot about FSU, especially Christian (Jones)," said Sessions. "I think they'll be coming."

With the need for tight ends Sessions is looking to come in and play as soon as he gets on campus.

"Coach Coley has talked about using me as an H-back which is fine by me," said Sessions. "I am ready to go, ready to come in and play."
