Clinton-Dix Impressed by FSU

Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix is arguably the fastest rising recruit when it comes to defensive backs in the state of Florida for the 2011 class. He was in town Saturday for Florida State's Junior Day, making his first visit to FSU since last summer. NoleDigest caught up with Ha'Sean to get his thoughts on the visit and to see what impact it had on his recruitment.

Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix is quickly becoming a wanted man on the recruiting front as people who cover different programs are noticing the elite potential the Dr. Phillips star has on the collegiate level. Now that offers are pouring in and visits are starting to happen Clinton-Dix has started making it around different campuses over the past several weeks.

This weekend he was in Tallahassee for Florida State's most recent Junior Day. Since the offer came from the Seminoles they've always been a top school for Ha'Sean. He says after the ‘Noles are looking very good at this time.

"The visit went great," explained Clinton-Dix of the Junior Day visit. "FSU has always been there for me since the day they offered me. The coaches were great and the place itself was just nice. I really enjoyed what I saw from them as a whole."

Coach Fisher and Coach Stoops are the two coaches at FSU that have made the biggest impact when it comes to Clinton-Dix. While he was on the visit Ha'Sean said he was blown away by the conversations he had with both was a highlight. Does it place the Noles in higher regard with him?

"I like how Coach Stoops has produced a lot of guys and he can make me better," said Clinton-Dix. "Coach Stoops is a great person and I could trust him. He's known as a coach to coach the best and he is a guy who could put me on the map."

"Coach Fisher was telling me how bad they want me and how they can see me playing several positions for them," continued Clinton-Dix. "They feel I have God given talent and the hips to play corner for my size. They also feel I can help them at safety and play a role for them on special teams. They can really use me and look at me as a guy that could be a big part of their team."

Ha'Sean says that while the visit was great he did not make a commitment on the visit due to him wanting to be able for his family to see the place and be there when he does it.

"I didn't commit but I can't say that I won't," Clinton-Dix said, "so who knows what I might do! Nothing really kept me from committing on the visit. I just felt like it wasn't the right time for me. I want to make another visit with my family and I didn't want to make a move without my family knowing about it. My family loves FSU and they have my back whenever I decide."
