NoleDigest Quickhitter: Eric Dixon

Vigor cornerback Eric Dixon visited Florida State last weekend for Junior Day, coming away impressed with the coaches. NoleDigest spoke to him for an update on his recruitment.

Florida State was the first program to offer Prichard-Vigor defensive back Eric Dixon a scholarship. The talented corner was in town last weekend for FSU's most recent Junior Day. Coming into the visit he had expectations of what the school was going to be like. Did they meet those on the visit?

"The visit was alright and I expected it to be a little better," said Dixon. "I just expected the coaches to be a little more hype and the facilities to be bigger. I did like the 3-D video highlights they had. I don't think many schools have that."

Dixon did say that overall the coaches stood out to him and that he liked what he heard from the coaches on the defensive ball for FSU.

"I didn't get one-on-one time with the coaches but I like them a lot," said Dixon. "They stand out. They were telling me how they like how physical I am and that I can come up and hit, but that they want to see more of my footwork and me in coverage."

Given that the coaches want to see Dixon up close he says he'll be camping with FSU in the summer.

"I am going to camp at FSU and probably Alabama," said Dixon.

Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn and Miami are the other schools Eric is looking at at this time.
