Florida State scored the opening basket on a Derwin Kitchen layup but would never lead again. Gonzaga lead by as many as 18 points and Florida State would fight back, but missed opportunities down the stretch doomed the Seminoles.

True freshman Michael Snaer missed three free throws and Florida State committed a few key turnovers down the stretch which cost Florida State in the end.

Solomon Alabi scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds but it wasn't enough to lead a Seminole comeback that came up just short. Devidias Dulkys added 14 points of his own in a losing effort.

Leading the way for Gonzaga was guard Matt Bouldin who scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Ellias Harris, Robert Sacre and Steven Gray all scored in double digits for the Zags as well.

Florida State finishes the season with a record of 22-10 but failed to win a game following their regular season win at Miami on March 6.
