Fulse Pleased with FSU Visit

Brandon Fulse is one of Florida's top two-way threats for the 2011. Schools from all across the nation are pursuing Fulse due to his ability to be a top-flight tight end or defensive end on the next level. This past weekend Brandon was in town for Florida State's Garnet and Gold game. NoleDigest caught up with Fulse to get his thoughts on the game and to see where he is at with his recruitment.

Brandon Fulse has made his away to several colleges this spring to check out college's spring practices. He's been to Florida, Miami and a few others so far, and this past weekend he was at Florida State for their annual Garnet and Gold spring game. While he was late due to traffic he came away pleased with the visit.

"The visit was pretty good even thought I got there late because traffic was so bad," said Fulse. "I liked it a lot and I got to see some of the things I wanted to see during the visit."

Brandon says that he wanted to watch how the tight ends are used in FSU's offense, and he wanted to get a chance to connect more with the coaching staff.

"Coming into the visit I wanted to see how they used their tight ends in the offense and I wanted to get to learn more about the coaches," explained Fulse. "Even though I was late I got to spend time with Coach Fisher. He was telling me how much of an impact I could make for them at tight end. They like how big I am and how I move really well for my size. He also was talking to me to see if I enjoyed my time on the visit. I told him that I did enjoy myself. I also got a chance to talk to Coach Coley. He was telling me pretty much the same stuff as Coach Fisher. He was telling me how if I came to FSU how he'd use me."

"Overall it went very well," continued Fulse. "The coaches always treat me well and they treat me like family. I liked how they used their tight ends, too. I was watching and it's like we do at Ft. Meade. The tight ends went out for passes when they passed the ball. We run the shotgun and line up in the I-formation like they do. I was thinking to myself I could be doing the same things at FSU. I was pleased."

The coaches at FSU have pegged Brandon as a top target for 2011. They're hoping to stay in contention throughout his recruitment and hopefully landing his commitment when he is ready to decide.

"The coaches were asking me where they stand," said Fulse. "I told them that I am open but that I liked them a lot and that they are up there. I like how I have a good relationship with Coach Fisher, Coach Coley and Coach Haggins. I like how they use the tight ends. But right now I want to take some more visits and wait things out. I want to check out some other coaches and see what they're all about and to see if I can build relationships with them."

The highlight for Fulse was the one-on-one time with Coach Fisher and Coach Coley.

"I'd say the 1-on-1 time with Coach Fisher and Coach Coley is what stood out to me the most," stated Fulse on the visit. "I liked what they had to say. They really want me there and they're saying the right things."

Brandon isn't sure about what lies ahead visit-wise but he plans on getting out this summer for visits.

"I am going to visit USF for their spring game on the 17th and I plan on getting out and about in the summer for visits," said Fulse. "I'm not sure where I will be going right now. I think I will be going to FSU for Seminole Showtime."

Fulse wants to wait until Signing Day if possible to make a decision but he'll commit before then if the time is right.

"I'd like to wait until Signing Day to make my decision," Fulse said, "but if the time is right and I feel like a school is the right one for me and I really like them I will go ahead an commit."
