Alabi Announces Decision

Friday afternoon, word came out that Florida State center Solomon Alabi will enter the NBA Draft.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Solomon Alabi will enter the NBA Draft, foregoing his final two seasons at Florida State.

Alabi would have been a redshirt junior entering the 2010 basketball season had he decided to stay. The Nigeria native averaged 11.7 points per game and was named the teams most outstanding offensive player by Leonard Hamilton's staff at the postseason banquet.

Alabi also named to the ACC's first team All-Defensive team. Alabi's presence in the paint will be missed greatly but the Seminoles have several viable options at the position.

Xavier Gibson came on strong for the Seminoles late in season and the Tribe will add two more bigs in JUCO transfer Bernard James and former top high school recruit Jon Kreft.

Alabi is expected to hire an agent, ending any possibility that he may return to the Seminoles next season.
