Bring on the Gators

Game Five of the College World Series is an elimination game. That really says it all, but throw in that it will be played against the Gator's and this game just might have a little extra juice today in Omaha.

It is extremely difficult to win the CWS from the loser's bracket, the Seminole's will need to string a winning streak together to get themselves back in contention for the title.

FSU went 3-1 vs. their in-state rivals during the regular season winning games 10-5 (3/2/10), 7-2 (3/30/10), and 3-2 (4/13/10). The lone loss came on 3/16/10 8-5.

The Noles had a good day of hitting (indoors) in Omaha on Sunday and will need the bats to get going early in this one. FSU went 0-13 with runners in scoring position in Game One, that will need to be significantly better.

FSU will start sophomore southpaw Brian Busch (5-2, 3.97) who will need a much better start than we received on Saturday where TCU jumped on FSU pitching early and often.

The winner of this one will face the loser of the UCLA-TCU game on Wednesday.
