Germany, Argentina, Ghana, and Uraguay Advance to Quarterfinals

If the World Cup has not grabbed your attention by now, it probably is not going to. Two of soccers most decorated countries came through with big wins on Sunday. Germany beat heated rival England 4-1 while Argentina bounced Mexico 3-1 (and eliminated for the second time in a row.

FIFA referees have seen better days, a terrible "non-goal" call in the England-Germany game turned the tide for good, while Argentina got on the board with a goal from a player who was obviously offsides. Something has to be done in the future.

On Saturday, the USA went down to Ghana. It was the same old story for this U.S. team........fall behind early, mount a comeback.....only this time we had no answer in extra time. All in all a solid performance from the Americans, but we appear no closer to truly breaking through on the world stage. Where are the strikers?
