Is Smith Firm with the 'Noles?

Keelin Smith has been committed to FSU since December of 2009. Lately it seems some current commitments for the Seminoles are keeping their options open while remaining committed to the ‘Noles. Is Smith in that group?

Keelin Smith from Treasure Coast High had a solid spring, showing the versatility to play corner and safety on the next level. In March Smith was a standout performer at the Miami Nike camp. Since then he has been laying low, but that will change as he has some camps he will be attending over the next few weeks.

"Sumer has been good, real good," said Smith. "I've been hitting it hard. Over the next few weeks I am going to some camps to work out. We're going to Florida State, LSU, Alabama and Southern Miss."

With great size at 6'2" 190 pounds Smith feels he still has something to prove at these camps.

"I'll be participating in these camps because I feel like I have something to prove still," said Smith. "I just have to go in and work hard and prove I am a good player."

Lately FSU fans have been worried by the number of commitments that is still looking around at other programs. Keelin has been steadfast in saying he's firm in his commitment, and that looks like it hasn't changed any. When asked if he plans to take officials Smith made it known he is all FSU.

"I am firm in my commitment," said Smith of his pledge to the Seminoles. "I am going to take officials to Florida State, Florida State, and Florida State!"

Keelin has a goal he is working on still.

"My main goal right now is to graduate early," said Smith. "I am right on track for that to happen."

Look for an update with Keelin after camp.
