Hicks Starting to Feel It

Senior linebacker Brandon Hicks is back in action and going full speed ahead now that he is recovered from an injured thumb. As it turns out, Hicks' injury was worse than Florida coaches originally thought and he is finally ready to use his attributes on the field without the hindrance of a cast on his hand. Hicks contributed six tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a QB hurry in Florida's win over Tennessee.

Brandon Hicks is a veteran LB among a group of younger players. While he was recovering, Jon Bostic and Jelani Jenkins were able to snag some meaningful playing time and get some experience under their belts.

Hicks also talked about the 5-2 defense that Florida ran against Tennessee. He said he doesn't mind if it takes away some playing time from LBs as long as there is a Gator ‘W' on the scoreboard.
