Pittman Under the Lights

One of the nation's finest prospects for the class of 2012 is Latroy Pittman. Pittman decided to end the speculation and announce for his childhood favorite, the Florida Gators back in August. Pittman, a 6-1, 190-pound wide receiver from Citra (FL) North Marion took in The Swamp this past Saturday as the Gators hosted the Wildcats.

"The atmosphere was crazy as usual," Latroy Pittman said. "The fans, band and for me seeing The Swamp under the lights was awesome. Just the whole concept of being a Gator and the Orange and Blue. The tradition of the new swagger they have of being one of the top teams in the country and the whole idea of playing in the swamp is such a honor. It does not hurt that we have a great coach in Urban Meyer."

Pittman has been a frequent visitor this year for the Gator home games because it's a chance to build chemistry with coaches and other recruits.

"I talked to Coach Loeffler, Coach Azzanni and Coach Meyer. They were asking me how my shoulder was feeling and I hope it gets better soon. They talked about how glad they are that I picked Florida."

Pittman has been happy with the way the team specifically the offense has improved from week to week.

"I felt the team showed each game they are maturing and the younger guys are starting to step up to the plate."

When it comes to recruiting the recruits themselves play just as an important role as the coaching staff. It also helps with team chemistry for the future among current committed kids and players that will announce for Florida in the future.

"I spent most of my time with Jeff Driskel, Ja'Juan Story, Nick Waisome and Curt Maggitt."
