Stadnik is One to Watch

Brock Stadnik, a 6-5, 285-pound offensive tackle from Greensboro (NC) Western Guilford, will be one of the most heavily recruited players from the Carolina's in 2012. Stadnik plays a little nose but is a left tackle all the way at the collegiate level. Teams showing early interest are Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, Duke, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Maryland and Florida.

"It's been a big surprise," Brock Stadnik said. "I've had to work really hard to get to this point and it's very exciting, the possibilities are great. It's been really exciting so far."

Stadnik talked about getting the offer from the University of Florida.

"It was really great. Florida is a great school in the SEC and they have great football tradition. My family and friends and everyone at my school was really excited about the Florida offer. Once they all heard about the offer everyone was coming up to me and saying they could not believe I got an offer from the Gators. Everyone that I know was very excited about the offer."

Another offer that Stadnik was excited about was from Wake Forest.

"Wake was one of my first offers so it will always be very exciting for me. I went to one of their camps and I did really well. The Clemson and South Carolina offers are special."

The overall recruiting process has not set in yet for Stadnik and for now he is trying to soak it all in.

"I've imagined running out of the tunnel and in a few more years it will become a reality."

Brother Clayton, is a 6-2, 245-pound center that is drawing early interest from North Carolina, South Carolina and Wake Forest. While the brothers would like to play together at the next level they know it's not a forgone conclusion.

"Everything is kind of up in the air right now. Playing with my brother would be a contributing factor but it's not going to be 100 percent a factor. There is a possibility that we could end up at different schools."

Stadnik talked about his game and what he strives for in the future.

"What stands out with me is my intensity on the field. I go 100 percent each and every play I am out there. I love finishing blocks. The pancake block is my specialty I love to drive someone into the ground its what I enjoy. I have a good first step and great work ethic. I never give up in practice and push everyone else to never give up. My pass protection is real good because I keep my shoulders square. I want to work on my consistency; I am going for that perfect game with zero breakdowns. I am striving for that perfect game."
