Holloway Impressive Early

Tysean Holloway, a 6-0 and 185-pound athlete, runs in the 4.5 range, benches 275 pounds, squats 425 pounds and power cleans 225 pounds. Holloway transferred to Ashville following his ninth grade season on the junior varsity team from Ashville (NC) TC Roberson High School.

Heading into the season, Tysean Holloway was all set to be the starting quarterback but has now settled in as the teams primary running back and has taken full advantage. Last week in a 49-21 blowout Holloway ended his night with five rushing touchdowns. Through the first four games of the season he has more than 600 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns.

Holloway's teammate, defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan, is currently committed to the University of Florida and Holloway talked about what he likes regarding the Gators.

"I like the fact that everybody is very close with one another," Holloway said. "I like that Coach Meyer is true to his team and he doesn't except anything less than their best. He makes you work and that's something I really cherish."

A few teams to keep an eye on moving forward would include Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee, Louisville and Georgia Tech. Holloway has yet to visit the University of Florida but a trip could be on the horizon in the near future.

His versatility is very attractive to college programs around the nation and is being looked at for positions such as quarterback, running back, safety, corner back and wide receiver.
