Roberson Exploring his Options

Cornerback Marcus Roberson, from Ft. Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas, said Auburn is still at the top of his list but he is giving a few other schools a hard look. Those schools are Florida, Texas Tech, FSU, Georgia and LSU. Roberson took a visit to Texas Tech last weekend to see the Raiders take on Missouri.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm giving everyone a chance and looking into all of my options. I visited Texas Tech and it was a nice visit. I didn't know much about them so it was good to see it in person. They showed me a good time."

Marcus Roberson is looking to make a trip up to Gainesville this weekend for the Florida/South Carolina game but is still working on some logistical details to arrange the visit.

"I really want to get to UF this weekend. I talked to coach (Zack) Azzanni two days ago and we were arranging the visit. My coach (George Smith) has to call and figure it out but I think I'm coming up Saturday morning. I am planning on it so hopefully it works out. I've been up there before so I know all about the program and what they've got going and I think it's great. On this visit I'm just really trying to see how quick I could get o the field. There are lots of opportunities other places to get on the field early so I'm not sure if that would be the same at Florida."

The 6-0, 175-pound Roberson has continued to stay in contact with Auburn coaches despite taking other visits and looking around. He said Auburn coaches are understanding and are trying to hold onto the number one spot in Roberson's book.

"They just say they want to get me when it's all over and they say I could get on the field early so I keep talking with them as much as I can and they are still my leader for now."

Another school catching Roberson's attention is FSU. Two of his teammates, offensive lineman Bobby Hart and wide receiver Rashad Greene, are committed to the 'Noles so Roberson hears a lot about FSU.

"I speak to Eddie Gran like once a week and they just want to get me up there for a visit to see what it's all about. I will go on a visit there and see what I see."

After an official visit to Georgia, the Bulldogs were on the rise for Roberson. He cooled a little on UGA but says they are definitely still an option.

Roberson has also become interested in LSU recently. He said he is still waiting on Les Miles' coaching staff to reach out to him. As for when all of this will be figured out and when we can expect a decision from the talented corner:

"I'm going to probably wait until the end on signing day at this point. I just have too many choices right now so I am going to need a lot more time."
