Gators Look to Build on First Win

Despite a slow start, Florida kicked it into gear in the second half and came away with a 77-60 victory over UNC Wilmington. It was a big day for freshman Scottie Wilbekin who recorded three points, a team-high five assists and four steals in just 16 minutes.

Chandler Parsons was dominant despite a handful of turnovers and came away with a team-high 16 points in addition to five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Erik Murphy also provided some points from beyond the arc going 4-of-5 from the field.

Scottie Wilbekin talked about playing in the O-Dome after watching Gator games for years. He said he will continue to work to help his team and doesn't have expectations about playing time.

Chandler Parsons talked about his mistakes on turnovers and what Florida has to do prepare for Ohio State Tuesday.

Erik Murphy talked about his presence shooting outside and how coach Donovan is encouraging him to take more 3-point shots. Murphy said he shot a lot of 3's in high school and feels very comfortable in that role.
