To say Florida's loss to South Carolina is a disappointment would be an understatement. This wasn't just any loss, either, as it prevents Florida's goal from happening. Florida will not travel to Atlanta to compete in the SEC title game after saying all season "a trip to Atlanta" was all they wanted.
quarterback John Brantley
was 16-of-31 for 130 yards and he said this team is still looking for answers. Brantley insists they still can't figure out what is wrong offensively since their offense has "worked" the past two games. He said they didn't change anything this week because things were working with their current plays.
One thing that has worked: Andre Debose
. Debose put Florida's first touchdown on the board after a 99-yard kickoff return. Debose came away with the most all-purpose yards for Florida for the second time this season with 172 yards.
Florida's defense also struggled, giving up 239 yards on the ground and 156 yards in the air. Florida defensive coordinator Teryl Austin
running back Marcus Lattimore
was a hard back to stop because of his ability to break through so many tackles. Lattimore came away with 212 yards on 40 carries.
