Freshmen Come Up Big

After being handed a tough loss at home by Ohio State, Florida was ready to defend the O'Dome against North Carolina A&T. They certainly did so with a 105-55 beating of the Aggies. Eight Gators came away with double-digit total points with Kenny Boynton and Chandler Parsons tied on top scoring 16 a piece.

It was a show-off game for new freshman talent with an especially impressive rebounding number by freshman Will Yeguete who had 15. Yeguete's 15 boards are just three less than the all-time freshman record set by Gator great Al Horford.

Another frosh Scottie Wilbekin played the most minutes of anyone on the Orange and Blue side of the ball with 31 minutes on the court.

Yeguete talked about his performance and how he didn't even know he was closing in on Horford's rebounding record. He said he will have to try and catch Horford's record of 18 this season.

Patric Young talked about feeling comfortable out on the court. Young said it's much easier to get in the flow of the game when you are play a good amount of minutes.

Chandler Parsons rounded it out by talking about team discipline and communication in the game. Parsons said they wanted to make a big comeback after Ohio State and he feels they succeeded.
