Gators Overmatch Appalachian State

Florida got it done 48-10 on senior day in The Swamp showing an overmatched Appalachian State team what they're made of. Chris Rainey led UF with 87 rushing yards and John Brantley completed 16-of-22 passes for 222 yards including a long, 44-yard bomb to Deonte Thompson.

Speaking of Deonte Thompson, he had a career game coming away with 100 yards receiving - the most of his career.

Jordan Reed was 2-for-3 passing including a touchdown in the air to none other than fellow QB John Brantley. Trey Burton scored another in the endzone making it 12 touchdowns on the year for him, just two shy of the record 14 as a freshman set by Jabar Gaffney in 2000.

Urban Meyer said today was emotional honoring special seniors like safety Ahmad Black and center Mike Pouncey. Meyer said it will be odd not having those guys around next year.

The feel-good story of the game came when senior walk-on Gary Beemer scored a touchdown. Meyer said it was a no-brainer to get the ball to Beemer as he is a guy that has meant so much to Florida's program during his time at UF. John Brantley talks about moving on from losses, catching TD passes and missing the graduating seniors he came in with.
