Maggitt Taking More Time

Four-star DE/OLB Curt Maggitt, from Palm Beach Gardens (FL) Dwyer, has decided to take his time making his decision on where to play college ball Maggitt had originally planned to announce his choice on December 26 but will now wait until national signing day to tell the world where he will play on the next level.

Curt Maggitt is still planning to announce his school on the nationally televised program "Respect Outdoors" on the Sportsman Channel where he will give viewers a closer look into his life off the football field. Now, however, Maggitt will have more time to make up his mind since he says he currently has no idea where he will go to school.

"I wanted to keep focused on my season and I didn't want to make a decision too early because I don't know where I'm going right now. I want to make sure my decision is concrete when I make it."

Maggitt is working very hard with his Dwyer team in the playoffs right now. Dwyer is 11-1 and barreling toward the state finals. Maggitt is focused as a senior leader on his team and said he has work left to do on the high school football field before he can truly invest his time in making a college choice.

In the meantime, he has received in-home visits from Florida, Alabama and LSU. Maggitt lists Wisconsin, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Tennessee and Iowa St. as schools he is still considering.

"Right now there are still no leaders or anything because I'm still trying to figure everything out and I honestly don't know which school will be the best for me. I have so many good choices and I love hearing from all of these coaches."

These coaches love hearing from Maggitt as well. In fact, some were thrilled when he told them he was postponing his decision.

"Florida coaches and Tennessee coaches were very relieved when I told them I wasn't announcing until February. They are happy because I haven't taken visits there yet."

Maggitt can still take two more official visits. He said he will have some tough decisions when it comes to figuring out where to spend his time.

"I will visit Florida, Tennessee or Iowa State but I haven't set any dates for those visits or anything yet. I still have to decide where to use my two visits."
