Safety Ahmad Black, cornerback Janoris Jenkins and punter Chas Henry were all named to the First Team. Center Michael Pouncey was named to the Second Team.
Henry was listed as the Second Team punter following the 2008 and 2009 seasons, before being bumped to the First Team after the 2010 season.
Auburn dominated the announcements. Quarterback Cam Newton was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while defensive tackle Nick Fairley was named Defensive Player of the Year.
Auburn head coach Gene Chizik was named SEC Coach of the Year. The Tigers placed seven total members on the team.
It's tough to find a more talented position in the SEC at the top other than wide receiver. South Carolina's Alshon Jeffery and Alabama's Julio Jones were named to the First Team. Kentucky's Randall Cobb and Georgia's AJ Green were named to the Second Team. Green was likely penalized for the hit his statistics took during his four-game suspension at the beginning of the season. Cobb was also named as the All-Purpose player on the First Team.
South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore was named SEC Freshman of the Year. He rushed for 1,198 yards and 17 touchdowns. Lattimore was also named to the First Team.
