Henry Selected as Nation's Best Punter

In the midst of all the turmoil following Urban Meyer's sudden departure from Florida, some good can be found in the Gator Nation. Senior punter Chas Henry was honored Thursday night with the Ray Guy Award for the best punter in the country. Henry led the country in punting this season, averaging 46.4 yards on 44 punts, which is the best average in school history.

The gators lead the country in net punting with a 41.8 yard average. Henry had two of the longest punts in school history. One was 75-yards against Alabama and the other was 67-yards against Mississippi State. Chas Henry talked about his contributions to Florida and how honored he is to be the Ray Guy recipient in 2010. Henry said the win is a little bitter sweet without coach Meyer by his side because he said he loves his coach and is very sad to see him step down.

Henry also talked about the talent on this Florida team and says there are good things to come in the future.
