Two Official Visitors for Gators

Less than two weeks before signing day and the Florida Gators appear to be hosting just two official visitors for the weekend. Neither is committed to Florida and one is committed elsewhere, so there is a possibility of adding both prospects to the commitment list sometime after the visit. Both are big time four-star prospects and the Florida staff would love to have them.

Marcus Roberson has been a target for the Florida Gators since well before the summer. The Under Armour All-American cornerback from Ft Lauderdale St Thomas Aquinas has all the prototypical tools that Will Muschamp is looking for in a cornerback with elite size and speed.

Just two days ago, Roberson committed to Texas Tech, where his uncle is the defensive backs' coach. However, shortly after committing to the Red Raiders he also followed that up by telling everyone that he was still open and wanted to visit Florida. This weekend will go a long way in figuring out exactly where he stands.

Offensive tackle Jake Fisher is a big 6-7, 280 pound long armed prototype that has a sincere interest in the University of Florida. Fisher de-committed from Michigan just a week ago after head coach Rich Rodriguez was fired and is a big time prospect not to be committed anywhere at this point in time.

Michigan will still be a factor for fisher who will get the hard sell from his home in Traverse City (MI). The gators need to have on their A-Game for this recruiting visit.

Stay tuned as we keep up with these two prospects this weekend and beyond.
