At Least Four Official Visitors Expected In

The Florida Gators will finish off the official visit weekends this year with at least four official visitors on tap and an emphasis on the defensive front seven. The defensive front is clearly the need for this Florida roster and some big guns will be in Gainesville to try and persuade to make the plunge for the orange and blue.

The defensive line is still a huge need for the Florida Gators and three big ones are expected to be on campus with Jermauria Rasco leading the way with his five-stars as a defensive end pass rush specialist. Rasco, from Shreveport (LA) is the one guy on the entire recruiting board that Florida head coach Will Muschamp has recruited since the beginning of the process. LSU is the expected front runner for Rasco after a very good visit there last week and Florida State is certainly in the mix, but Florida should be able to show him more need than anyone else he is looking at.

Staying at defensive end, Coconut Creek North Broward's Tevin Westbrook brings his 6-5, 240 pound frame to Gainesville this weekend and again with the need at end, it should be hard for Westbrook to look past the Gators when he makes a college decision. USF, Purdue, and North Carolina look to be the main competition for Westbrook.

One guy that would be a big time get is four-star defensive tackle John Jenkins of Gulf Coast Community College in Mississippi. The 6-4, 340 pound tackle has the body and skills like none other on the entire Florida roster. He is a key cog in Florida trying to establish any sort of three man front next season, something they would like to do at least as a changeup. Jenkins is expected to be favoring Georgia at the moment and had a great visit there last weekend.

Linebacker Curt Maggitt is also expected in and the Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer star will be hosted by a trio of former high school teammates in Matt Elam, Robert Clark, and Gerald Christian, all who signed with Florida a year ago and played in their true freshman seasons. Maggitt has a terrific frame to put on some serious weight and has terrific athleticism that has made him a major Gator target for quite some time.

The Gators got more good news on Thursday when Gators receiver commitment JaJuan Story decided he would come to town on an official visit to see the Gators yet again. Story has been in limbo a bit with a visit to Ohio State and has maintained an interest in the Buckeyes. This move seems to point to Story cementing his choice as a Gator.

There is talk of more visitors in town and we will keep you posted when we hear of them and how their visits have gone.
