Moore Talks Favorites

Tampa native Earl Moore is coming off an impressive junior season. The defensive tackle thinks highly on the Florida State program and already holds an offer. At 6'2'' and 260 pounds Moore is a big body with a nasty attitude in the trenches.

"It's going really well so far, Coach Dawsey and Coach Haggins have been talking with me about the program a lot. They offered me a while ago but still talk with me quite a bit," he said. His familiarity with the coaches and the school itself have Florida State in the driver's seat currently, something Moore is not looking to change anytime soon.

"I've been up there a few times to check it out and really liked what I saw. I had a good time up there, and could see myself there. Florida State is on the rise and I'm comfortable there and would like playing there," Moore stated of the Florida State program.

His skill set and success on the field is drawing the interest from several BCS caliber programs, but Moore maintains FSU is still the favorite. "I'm hearing from Florida State, Miami, Florida, South Carolina, USC, Texas Tech, Georgia, and USF right now. My top teams are Florida State, South Carolina, USC, Texas Tech, Georgia, and USF," Moore revealed.

He's focused on his ACT and GPA, but says he's spending a lot of time training as well. "I'm going to be really busy this offseason. I'm going to a few camps and combines, along with taking the ACT pretty soon. I've got a 2.8 GPA and I want to keep my grades up, along with improving my game. I'm working on getting faster along with a lot of flexibility training. Improving my agility will be a key to my success this season," Moore Stated.

When asked if a commitment was coming soon, Moore said he's still taking his time on the subject. "I'm still not sure about when I'm going to commit. I want to just wait and see how things play out and talk it over before making a decision," he discussed.

Earl plans on continuing his success from last season, along with some steady improvement from his offseason workouts.

"I finished the season with 75 tackles and four sacks, I'm excited for my senior year because I know I can improve on what I did last season. I just want to continue to improve," Moore finished.
