Poole Loves Florida Right Now

It doesn't take long to notice what kind of athlete Brian Poole is. The way he breaks on the ball when it is in flight and the way he approaches like a heat seeking missile. Poole is one of the top cover corners in all of America for the class of 2012. He played well in the Badger Sport 7-on-7 and took some time to talk to Scout.com.

Brian Poole had a good tournament and his team came alive on the second day winning a couple of games against really good competition. Poole was a standout of course and is all over the field when he has to be as a cornerback.

His physical abilities have college coaches lining up to talk to him and the recruiting process has become a very busy time for the 2012 prospect from Bradenton Southeast.

"School is going really good and I am starting to load up on offers now," he said. "There have been so many coming in I don't even know who was the last one."

Poole has been able to travel around and see several places so far this early in the process and has come away impressed with each.

"I have been to Florida, Notre Dame, USF, and Florida State," he said.

Notre Dame is the school at a distance and there is good reason Poole visited there.

"With Notre Dame, my dad's side of the family is from Indiana," he said. "It was different, it was cold. I went for the Stanford game."

With South Florida and Florida State, he really liked those visits.

"USF was nice," he said. "The coaches are really nice and they treat me good. Florida State was good too. They showed me a great time."

Recently Poole visited Gainesville and got to feel the love from the Gators. He sounded like he really enjoyed the trip.

"The visit to Florida went great, awesome," he said. "Everything was perfect."

Poole has already started building a relationship with Florida's new secondary coach Travaris Robinson

"Coach D.J. Durkin is recruiting my area, but my position coach, Coach Robinson, is someone I talk to a lot," he said. "He is cool and a nice guy." Florida is definitely a school Poole is thinking about.

"I love Florida right now," he said. "I don't want to say they are standing out over everyone, but they are certainly one of my favorites."

As for a timetable to make a college decision, Brian Poole believes he will make a decision sometime in the next few months.

"I will have to talk it over with my family, it isn't all my decision," he said. "I think I will make my decision between the spring and the summer time."

And so, we will have to play close attention to the recruitment of one of the top players in America residing right here in the Sunshine State.
