Dunker Has Another Great Trip to Florida

Jessamen Dunker has quickly become one of the most highly recruited linemen in the country for the class of 2012. The 6-6, 315-pound offensive tackle from Boynton Beach is entertaining new offers every week from big time programs around the country. Spring break is on and Dunker has started visiting schools and he dropped in on Florida for another visit this weekend.

Jessamen Dunker has made it no secret that Florida is his favorite school and so a surprise visit might not be such a surprise after all. Florida got another visit from the massive linemen on Sunday.

"I visited on Sunday. It was great, it was my second trip up there," Dunker told Scout.com on Wednesday. "I had a feeling about the places on campus and I talked to Coach Muschamp and everyone, it went really well."

Dunker's father was equally impressed with what the Gators had to offer.

"I brought my dad with me and it went good," he said. "He liked it and was blown away by it. He liked the campus and the academics. He liked coach Muschamp and stuff like that."

Dunker was asked to explain what it is about Florida that has captured his attention so quickly.

"As soon as I get on campus and driving through the town I just love it," he said. "Just right off the bat Florida clicked with me."

Frank Verducci coaches the offensive line and his extensive coaching stint in the NFL is something that Dunker believes will help him get to the highest level if he decides to become a Gator.

"Coach Verducci sounds like a down to earth guy," Dunker said. "If I go there I think he will get me where I want to be. He is the kind of coach that doesn't yell, but shows players what to do. I like that."

He also met with offensive coordinator Charlie Weis who was able to put him at ease.

"Coach Weis is funny to me," Dunker said. "I think he is pretty cool. He's hilarious."

Dunker also gets the fatherly feel from the head coach at Florida. Will Muschamp is in his first year as a head coach at the collegiate level, but seems to be making his mark on prospects that he comes into contact with.

"Coach Muschamp is the type of coach that is a championship coach," Dunker said. "I know he wants to win and needs players to win. He just seems like he could be a father figure to me before I leave and for the whole four years. He just looks like he knows what he is doing."

Being such a Gator lean is there any chance he makes a move soon and decides on his college choice?

"I might wait til just before my season," Dunker said. "I don't know yet, I am just taking it in stride."

He will be making more trips to colleges this spring, including a return trip to Gainesville.

"My coach is supposed to be going up there in a few weeks for a coaches' clinic, so I will probably be going up there for that," he said of coming back to Gainesville and the Florida campus. "I was supposed to go to Alabama today but I can't do that, but I will be headed to Georgia tomorrow."
