"I Just Get That Home Feeling"
Quinteze Willliams says he picked Florida for quite a few reasons. First: it feels like home to the Georgia player. Second: he loves the weather and third: he sees the need at his position.
"I really thought it was a good place to be. I see how important the D-Line is going to be this year so I wanted to be a part of that. I really think it will be a good look for me. I fit well in this scheme."
Williams has developed a strong relationship with coach Robinson at Florida. He gives us a little peek into what that relationship is like.
"Coach Robinson is a cool, down-to-earth guy. He is interested in all of his players' personal lives too. He's not just standing by and watching from that coaching perspective. I know I could go to him with a problem and he will care."
Williams said his father's support would be crucial in his decision. He says Mr. Williams is all about Florida.
"My dad is all for it. He know I was going to commit to Florida and he said to go for it."
Williams is already pressing the fast-forward button and looking toward his career at UF. He says he can't help but think about running out of the tunnel in his Florida uniform for his first time in The Swamp.
"It's going to be one of the most intense moments of my life."
Will Muschamp is grabbing players out of Georgia with a good amount of success in 2012 with both Jafar Mann and Mike Davis from Stephenson HS committing before Williams. Williams says he doesn't know Davis well but is familiar with Mann.
"I talk to Jafar but it's not on the regular. He told me he was going to commit to Florida a little while ago but he didn't tell me when."
Williams chose Florida over Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Tennessee.
"I just get that home feeling from Florida. I love the weather and I also had influence from guys I played with or against like Mike Taylor and Mack Brown."
Williams says he will visit Gainesville this weekend.
