Bailey Switches to the Gators

The Florida Gators got another commitment from the class of 2012 as Hallandale corner Willie Bailey has decommitted from Miami to become a Gator.

"I wanted to let you know that I decommitted from the University of Miami and committed to the University of Florida," Willie Bailey said. "I called Aubrey Hill to tell him my decision and he was very happy and real excited."

"I talked to all the coaches and Coach Muschamp and T-Rob. Coach Muschamp said he's real excited and ready for me to get up there and be a Gator."

Bailey was in Gainesville this past weekend for the relays, but what many don't know is that he was also in Gainesville the weekend before. The visits over the last two weekends and the influence of Frankie Hammond helped him with his decision.

"Last weekend, I visited Florida and I just liked the whole campus and everything else about the school. I'm very close with Aubrey Hill and T-Rob and I just love all the coaches as a whole and the direction they're going in. I'm very excited. I talked it over with my entire family and they love the Gators."

Bailey said the Gators like him as a cornerback and in the nickel spot.

"I'm a very physical corner that likes to hit. I have good footwork, but I want to improve on my technique."
