Florida adds first 2004 Commitment!

He's big, he's fast, and he's strong. You may not know him yet, but you won't forget him. Find out more about Florida's first public commitment for the Class of 2004.

Florida has picked up their first verbal commitment according to Butler Community College Head Coach Troy Morrell. Jeremy Mincey, a defensive end prospect, has committed to the Gators.

"Jeremy actually committed to Florida a while ago," Morrell said. "Florida placed him here out of high school. Jeremy is strong (400 bench press) and can run. He is a 4.6 guy for sure. Jeremy may even be faster than that. He can really rush the passer."

Mincey, 6-3 and 255 pounds, played his high school football at Statesboro (Ga.). Florida running back Jimtavis Walker is also from Statesboro High School.
