Purifoy Ready to Report

Incoming Florida freshman cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy is looking forward to joining Gator Nation. The Pensacola Pine Forest graduate is gearing up for the season and is ready to make his mark in Gainesville. As a cornerback standing 6-1 and blazing speed, he is a prototype at the position. Purifoy says he is excited to play under Coach Muschamp and for such a great program.

Loucheiz Purifoy says his family is sad to see him leave but adds they are planning on coming to The Swamp to see him play.

"I am excited to go to college, it will be a good experience. Every kid needs to leave home eventually," Purifoy said.

Purifoy is coming in with big expectations for this season. With his eyes on a National Championship, Purifoy says he set a few personal goals as well.

"I want a lot of playing time and I want to keep my grades up. I am going to have to work hard," Purifoy said.

When asked about the competition in the SEC, Purifoy said, "of course there is going to be more competition than high school. It is going to be a lot more work and I am going to have to be ready."

Purifoy is not only excited about the tradition of Florida Football but he is looking forward to playing with some of the Gators' best talent.

"I can't wait to play with Jeff Demps and Jelani Jenkins. I like their playing style, they bring it when it's time to bring it," Purifoy said.

Other than college level math courses and waking up early, Purifoy seems confident with his football abilities and says he is ready for the transition to college.

Purifoy is planning on majoring in Psychology.

"I would like to be a psychologist. I like to get in people's heads and figure out why they do the stuff they do," Purifoy said.
