Story is Living the Dream

Incoming Florida freshman JaJuan Story says playing football for the Florida Gators will be a dream come true. The 6-4 wide receiver has great size and speed and has what it takes to be a top receiver in the SEC. The Nature Coast Technical High School graduate is ready for this new chapter in his life and says he is looking forward to joining Gator Nation.

While many incoming freshmen may be a little timid about leaving home, JaJuan Story says he is ready and couldn't be more excited. Story is one of the most talented, raw prospects in the 2011 recruiting class and will only get better with experience. Story says one thing he plans to focus on is his size.

"I am excited to get bigger and I will do what ever the coaches tell me to make that happen. I am going to focus on nutrition and working out," Story said.

The transition from high school to college can be tough on any incoming freshman, but Story says he has set some personal goals and is going to stay focus.

"First, I need to keep my grades above average. I also want some playing time and to get bigger. I'm going to have to play hard and work harder than everybody else," Story said.

Story is confident with his physical skills on the football field but says his biggest challenge may be in his head.

"Learning the plays will be a challenge, but I am looking forward to the competition in the SEC,"

While memorizing the Florida playbook may be tough, Story says nothing will be harder than college level math.

"College math is going to be tough. I'm going to have to study, which is something I never did in high school. But, I realize that I'm going to have to study in college," Story said.

When asked if there are any Florida players he is looking forward to playing with, Story responded, "Whoever my quarterback is going to be. All of them are really good players so I am looking forward to getting to know all of them."

As far as Story's expectations for the 2011 season, he said, "Hopefully, we can come out with a winning record and a bowl game, that would be great."

Story is excited for the new coaching staff at Florida and says he is looking forward to playing for offensive coordinator, Charlie Weis.

"Coach Weis is an offensive genius. He coached some great people, he has Super Bowl rings and it is awesome that he is now a Gator. I am really looking forward to working with him," Story said.

Story says playing for the Florida Gators will be a dream come true.

"It is a whole different level at UF and I am excited about this new chapter in my life. It is an honor to play for the Florida Gators and many people don't get to experience it, it's a big deal. A lot of people want to be in my shoes, I really am living a dream,"
