Russell has drawn the eyes of several college scouts early in the process, and he will be attending the Elite 11 tryout camp in Las Vegas on June 27th and 28th. The Elite 11 is the most prestigious quarterback camp in the country, and by getting an invite to tryout puts a player in special company.
When it comes to a college of choice, Russell is leaving is options open.
"The door is really wide open right now. I'm going to try and get to summer camps at Tennessee, Auburn, Virginia, and maybe Kentucky. I don't really have any favorites, but if I had to name a Top 5, they would be Tennessee, Auburn, Virginia, Florida and either Georgia or Alabama."
Russell is an excellent student, and while he doesn't have any formal scholarship offers yet, he is going to have a great opportunity in Las Vegas to show what he can do and learn from some of the best.
