Debose, Patchan, Cleared in Miami Scandal

The University of Florida announced that sophomore receiver Andre Debose and junior offensive tackle Matt Patchan have been cleared in regards to the NCAA and their investigation into the University of Miami's football program. The two were recruited by Miami and named in a story by Yahoo! Sports as part of the issues at Miami, but appear to be clear of any trouble in regards to their eligibility.

In a message sent to reporters Thursday morning, Florda Sports Information made it clear that Andre Debose and Matt Patchan have no issues with the NCAA as it pertains to their recruitment with the University of Miami.

The statement read as follows:

We have been in communication with the NCAA and there are no eligibility issues with Andre Debose and Matt Patchan as it relates to recent reports. Andre, Matt nor the University of Florida will have any additional comments regarding this matter.

The only other name associated with Florida that was mentioned in the article is current Florida receiver coach Aubrey Hill and sources for believe that Hill will likely be exonerated shortly of any wrongdoing.

There has been no word on when something official will be announced with regards to Hill.
