Fightin' Gators Welcomes Amy Campbell

Maybe you have seen her on TV, heard her on the radio, or read some of her popular recruiting articles elsewhere, but you will read and view more of her here on as we move forward. It is an exciting time here as we experience new growth and in turn try to add to your experience with us. We are pleased to announce the addition of Amy Campbell to our staff here at Fightin' Gators.

As you will read below, Campbell is a well-rounded personality and equally well-rounded with her work. We think she will fit in great with our group here at Fightin' Gators.

Amy Campbell will be graduating in December from the University of Florida's Telecommunications program, but she didn't start out college as a journalism student. She spent her first two years at UF studying theatre and transferred to Marymount Manhattan College in New York City as a musical theatre major. After one year, she decided to come back to UF and start covering Gator sports, and hasn't looked back.

Campbell worked at WRUF Sports Radio 850, WUFT, and and has covered Gator Basketball and football, and some recruiting too. Amy also loves red lipstick, fine cigars, Elvis Presley, musicals, Disney World, costume parties, and skeet shooting.

"I am so excited for this opportunity and honored to work with such a talented team," Campbell told and Fox Sports. "I look forward to doing some great reporting for Fox Sports!"

"We are very happy to have Amy join our venture with Fightin' Gators / / Fox Sports," said Managing Editor Bob Redman. "Her wide variety of skills should allow for us to bring you an even better product and I think you will learn quickly that she has a great understanding of sports and especially your Gators."

Welcome aboard Amy, we know you are going to do a great job.
